BETA TEST FOR AUDIO BOOKS

I am proposing to create a bare-bones, live(ish) read version, that’s still edited, and still has quality sound production.

Listen to some samples.

FICTION – STORY SAMPLES

NON FICTION – DEVOTIONAL SAMPLES

WANT TO DO THIS?

If you’re a “clean book” author, follow the instructions below, and let’s do something new.

You Keep

– Your time so you can focus on other tasks.
– All rights.
– We will not use, share, distribute, or post anything you provide. If that desire/need arises, we will only do so with your express written consent.

You Get

– The first chapter for free.
– A quality, audio version of your beta book.
– Real human narration.
– Multiple options for audio files, including mp3, aac, wave, and more.
– Files will be ready for listening on any computer, tablet, mp3 player, or Android or iPhone mobile device with audio playback.
– The right to distribute the audio as you see fit, without charging for it.
– A great new tool to increase your beta audience and expedite feedback.

You Do Not Get

– A book deal. We are not a publisher.
– An ACX standards audio book.
– An ISB Number. Again, not a publisher.
– The right to CHARGE beta readers/listeners to listen to the provided audio files. (It is an option, but there’s more legal stuff we’d have to get through, so let’s talk!)
– Frank Muller level of narration. Let’s be real, people, he was a legend.
– Perfect narration. We do our best based on your notes to give your book an honorable reading, but you’re an author, you undoubtedly have a “perfect” vision for it. We will not be able to read every part with the inflection, tone, pacing, etc. in your mind. As authors and artists, we understand that desire and do our best, but please have realistic expectations.

Submissions General Guidelines

– We’re Christians and take our walks with God seriously. If we do something contrary to that, feel free to call us to the carpet.
– You don’t have to be Christian for us to read your book.
– Your book doesn’t have to be a Christian book, or even have some major moral or ethic it’s trying to teach. But, what we read must fall inline with our convictions. (See Requirements.)
– You’re in the U.S. (We hope to figure out international sales/tax/regulations if this grows.)
-Your book is in English. (It’s all I speak, but again, if this grows, adding other narrators and languages would be ideal.)

Fiction Requirements

Your book must be clean. You guarantee that your manuscript does not include inappropriate sexuality, innuendos, nudity (for any age), extreme violence, profanity, or using any name of deity in vain.
– You recognize that we may have a different opinion of what’s “appropriate” than you, and it’s our right as artists for hire to decline your manuscript if at any point we read/find content we do not wish to read. (If money has already been paid by you, we will refund 30-100% depending on how far we made it into the book before the issue(s) was discovered.

Nonfiction Requirements

– Depending on the topic and purpose of your book, we recognize details are necessary and are not always appropriate for all ages.
In general, your book must be “clean”. You guarantee that your manuscript does not include sexuality, innuendos, nudity, sadistic violence, profanity, or using any name of deity inappropriately unless it directly relates to the point and purpose of the book.

(If money has already been paid by you, we will refund 30-100% depending on how far we made it into the book before the issue(s) was discovered.

By the way,

Need an illustrator or Book Cover?

I am a trained illustrator and have been a graphic designer for over 14 years, so I can help with those things, too. Just an FYI. Click the button (or head to Give33.com) and then use the “other” box to tell me what you’re interested in. Thanks!
